Description

We are seeking a motivated and creative digital media professional to manage our presence across various media platforms to maximise the visibility of our Charity.

This newly qualified graduate role will play a key role in developing and implementing digital and traditional media strategies to raise awareness of the Flint House's mission, engage our audience, and drive support for our programs and initiatives.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about storytelling, social media, and using media channels to make a difference.


This is a newly created role which will be based in our beautiful offices at Flint House in Goring on Thames.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Flint House social media accounts, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube, with a focus on creating engaging content and growing our online community.
  • Support the HR and Executive team with our internal communications strategy and internal social platforms.
  • Develop and execute content calendars for social media platforms, including drafting posts, creating graphics or multimedia content, and scheduling posts for optimal engagement.
  • Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions, and respond promptly and professionally to inquiries, feedback, and inquiries.
  • Produce compelling multimedia content, including videos, photos, infographics, and blog posts, to showcase Flint House's impact, highlight success stories, and raise awareness of key issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather content, stories, and data for media materials, including press releases, media kits, and newsletters.
  • Cultivate relationships with media outlets, journalists, bloggers, and influencers to secure coverage and placements for Flint House's initiatives, events, and campaigns.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of media events, press conferences, interviews, and other media opportunities, including preparing spokespeople and coordinating logistics.
  • Monitor media coverage and track metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of media campaigns and initiatives, and provide regular reports and analysis to the Fundraising Manager and Executive team.
  • Manage and monitor our brand strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or a related field.
  • 12 years of experience in media relations, social media management, or digital marketing, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling stories and messages for different audiences and platforms.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools, analytics platforms, and multimedia editing software.
  • Creative thinking and problemsolving skills, with the ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions for media campaigns and initiatives.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of media relations best practices, ethical guidelines, and industry trends.
  • Passion for the Flint House mission and commitment to using media channels to drive social change and impact.
Transport links are infrequent, so own transport is essential. Free Parking is provided.
