This company is an SME that provides retailers with insights around consumer buying, and they are doing it in a really exciting, fresh and innovative way.
Due to the growth of the business, they have decided to bring on board a data expert who can analyseand collate data from different systems to provide insights to their customers.
This role will also build out their data function to make sure they are making decisions that are data focused and paving the way for their clients, which include some major globalretailers.

This newly created role is intended to support primarily the Retail business in defining and delivering the systems, processes, tools and team required to put data and analytics at the heart of all their work.
Leading a small and newly formed team of yourown design, you will take accountability for all data, reporting, analysis and insights across the Company, from day to day and BAU reporting delivery through to insightful and relevant analysis for their customers of projects and campaigns.
Alongside this,you will help them build a best in class and effective systems architecture that allows the Company - and their customers - to use and manage data effectively.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO:
- Develop systems, tools, processes and team to ensure accurate, timely and effective delivery of day to day and other BAU reporting
- Quickly identify, scope and implement reporting and insights requirements for projects and campaigns as they come on stream
- Act as day to day point of contact for customers, able to present and articulate data and reporting in a meaningful and clear, concise way, delivering actionable insights from our reports
- Work cross functionally with key account teams to understand reporting and analysis needs and play a leading role in supporting the effective delivery of these to end customers
- Demonstrate expert capabilities in understanding the best methods, tools and systems for collecting, analysing and presenting data and insights
- Demonstrate expert capability in managing and understanding large data sets to provide reporting and insights to end customers
- Lead on developing novel approaches to "experimental retail" and other projects that allow us to capture, cycle and report on data and learnings in an Agile Retail way
- Develop a "point of view" for the business allowing us to demonstrate a unique approach to retail and experiential reporting / analysis
- Manage insights and reporting requirements on very lean budgets, utilising team expertise and standardised data collection / analysis tools wherever possible
- Constantly seek new and innovative ways of reducing costs and increasing customer revenue
- Lead and onboard your new team, ensuring effective cross functional working with other teams
- Successfully integrate Insights and Reporting as a function within customer accounts
- Participate in the wider Operations team to ensure that work output is always of excellent quality
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:
- You'll be a highly experienced insights professional, with experience in managing large retailoriented data projects
- Ideally you will also have experience in an SME business, and demonstrate an understanding of how to work on limited and tactical budgets
- You'll be capable of managing a team of others, including entrylevel team members, and able to impart knowledge and training to others
- You'll be capable of working selfsufficiently producing reports and information packs, for example, under your own steam
- You'll need to be a confident presenter and highly personable you'll need to influence cross functional teams across the business, building rapport and good relationships with other teams; and you'll need to present regularly to our customers, buildingtrust, confidence and rapport with external stakeholders
