A Global Insurance Company are recruiting for a Contractor or temp-perm Business Data Analyst to work in the London Data Management team.

The Data Analyst will assist the Data Manager primarily in the delivery of data governance, documentation and data quality


Summary

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of corporate data governance frameworks in line with insurance sector regulation and continuous business evolution.
  • Implement standards, policies and procedures to provide technical assurance for the ongoing implementation of the data governance policy within the business.
  • Drive stakeholder relationships by aligning business and technology.
  • Execute projects in alignment with project plans, including tracking resources and updating project plans as needed.
  • Support project planning and management to ensure best practice and legal frameworks are followed with regards to data governance.
  • Participate in data quality monitoring and improvement. Responsible for identification, planning, mapping, analysis, synthesis of complex data.
  • Displays strong communication and interpersonal ability across all levels coupled with effective problem solving, conceptual thinking, quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Support the Finance Department in developing and testing system changes.

Experience Required

  • Data/Business Analyst experience from the Insurance market
  • Queries on the database
  • Power BI and Guidewire
  • Experience of maintaining and tweaking databases and dashboards
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Accounting/Finance understanding is beneficial
