Description

Standex Electronics (UK) Ltd is an established manufacturing company trading for over 40 years, and part of the US listed Standex International Corporation.

We are looking for a part time (3 days per week, 21.5 hours) office based accounts assistant to join our small team based in Tonbridge.


Main Responsibilities / Requirements

- Weekly waged payroll:


  • Processing the weekly waged employee payroll
  • Payroll administration

- Sales ledger administration:


  • Posting bank receipts
  • Credit control
  • Sending invoices
  • Reconciliations

- Purchase ledger administration:


  • Processing payments
  • Inputting invoices
  • Reconciliations

- General duties:


  • Journal posting
  • Running reports
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Data input for financial and operational reporting
  • Undertaking finance administrative duties
  • Assisting the Financial Controller with ad hoc tasks
  • General office duties such as managing the post and answering accounts telephone calls

Skills & Attributes Required
To be considered for this role you will need to have:

  • Strong organisational skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Be able to communicate at all levels including US corporate management
  • Be able to work well within a small team environment as well work independently
  • Selfmotivated with a can do attitude
  • Adaptable
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Good understanding of MS office (Excell/Word) is needed. Training will be given but previous experience in an accounts assistant role is required. Previous experience of SAP and payroll would be an distinct advantage.

Salary:
£15,000.00-£17,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 21.5 per week
