About This Position:

Joining us as a professional and
experienced librarian, you would expect to contribute to the organisation and management of the library services, including but not limiting to the following

Financial planning and management of the library budgets, the Library Development Plan and Line Management of the LRC staff.
Providing a first class information and resource service that focusses on; teaching, learning and assessment.
Working closely with wider college teams to ensure that all resources have direct relevance to curriculum to enhance learners' study programmes.
Promoting an inclusive environment supporting a diverse student community.

Experience required

With previous experience of working with library management systems, you will have either a graduate or post graduate library qualification and have a working knowledge of the Dewey Decimal Classification system.
Good communication and customer services skills are essential as is an ability to maintain an appropriate learning environment in the LRC for all students while promoting diversity and inclusivity.
Previous experience of working in an educational setting and of supervising staff would be highly advantageous.

This opportunity is based on 37 working hours per week.
