Description

Acorn Recruitment is searching for a Compliance Specialist to join their client based in Corby, Northamptonshire.

Forming part of the Central Safety Department, the purpose of the role is to work closely with Site Management teams playing a vital role in protecting employees in the workplace.

Using your expert knowledge and experience to control risks at work and ensure that the business correctly interprets legislative requirements to meet current legislative safety standards, codes and practices.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

Leading and maintaining the development of management standards and procedures to support the implementation of the company Health & Safety Management System.
Provide competence health and safety advice on allocated areas of compliance topic ownership.
Maintain up to date CPD and professional competence in all areas of Safety along with allocated health and safety speciality. This includes remaining up to date with legislative requirements, industry best practice and best available techniques.
Develop targeted compliance audits of the works areas to ensure effectiveness of the management system, legal compliance and compliance with business standards.
