HR Transformation

Having recently undertaken an internal change outlining key areas of improvement to become more performance-driven, proactive and customer-focused.

This transformation aims to enhance value proposition, increase impact, and optimise services to achieve the best long-term outcomes for residents, all while effectively managing budget and demand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver our mission to enable a highperforming, happy, motivated, and highly skilled workforce
  • Work alongside our newly appointed Assistant Director of People Strategy and OD and the Director of People and Change, to help deliver some of the key programmes of work
  • Focus initially on performance management, leadership development, career/talent development, wellbeing and inclusion and diversity
  • Supporting the Assistant Director to upskill and develop our internal teams to ensure the delivery of valueadding services that meet our customers' needs
  • Understand and be able to demonstrate how to make the transformation and improvement successful from an organisational perspective
Key Requirements

  • Ideally CIPD Level 7 or similar
  • Local government experience
  • Experience of leading HR and OD transformation in a large and complex organisation at a strategic level
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proactive, independent and selfstarter
  • Committed to continuous professional development, building strong networks and at the forefront of innovation and best practice
This is a contract position inside IR35, initially for 18 months on a full time basis.
