With its head office based in Doncaster, and operations in Cardiff and Tilbury Docks, McGregor Logistics operates a large and diverse fleet enabling us to provide a reliable and consistent service to our customers.

We now have a vacancy for a hands on Night Transport Supervisor to join our friendly team based at Warmsworth, Doncaster, preferably for an immediate start.

Role Responsibilities

Night handover from days transport team
Driver debrief
Night shift drivers briefing
Traffic management through the night
Reporting discrepancies/late running etc
Keeping traffic system up to date
Morning Handover to days transport team
Nightly yard and trailer checks
Replenish diesel in refrigerated trailers
Weekly vehicle check to ensure company policies are being adhered to

Person Requirements

Experienced transport operator/planner within the transport industry, ideally within road haulage
Some warehousing experience would be beneficial as some transshipping is required throughout the night, although this is supported by our warehousing team
Reliable and flexible to meet the needs of the business
Effective communication skills
Attention to detail
Organised, able to prioritise and multitask
IT literate, competent in Microsoft packages
Selfmotivated, flexible and confident
