Quality Engineer, Abingdon, £50,000pa - £5:

Our client a leading high technology manufacturer is looking to urgently recruit a Quality Engineer either permanently or on a 12 month fixed term contract.

The Quality Engineer will liaise between the supply chain, quality team and suppliers.

You will requireexperience of managing corrective action reports and follow up on actions to prevent recurrence of problems with product quality and on time delivery.

Other responsibilities for the Quality Engineer will include supporting suppliers visits and audits ensuring expectations and requirements are understood.


This Quality Engineer contract will suit someone who is a seasoned Quality contractor, or you may have recently been made redundant and interested in the idea of becoming a contract Quality professional.

Skills / Experience:
  • 6+ years' experience in a Quality role
  • Internal auditor desired
  • Member of Quality Institute (or Practitioner working towards Member) desired
  • Experience in working within a technically based manufacturing environment
  • Computer literate: ERP systems, Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to produce and interpret KPIs, produce accurate reports and analyse data for driving improvements
  • Understands business impact & cost of quality
  • Passion for Continuous Improvement and Quality, possessing the skills and knowledge to drive this
