Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical/Quality Manager, based in Banbury.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Advise on all matters relating to production processes in respect of food safety, hazards and end-product quality
  • Develop skills training plans and awareness instruction materials as appropriate for all functional elements in respect of all aspects of the QMS, Health and Safety and Food Safety and Food Hygiene disciplines
  • Using a hands on approach, develop, coordinate and control of all aspects of the internal audit function and inspections
  • Proactive development, implementation and control of all aspects of the Quality Management Systems (QMS), general health and safety and all matters relating to Food Safety and Food Hygiene
  • Coordinate and control all independent audits with external audit agencies or inspectorates
  • Develop and maintain an effective HACCP System to ensure product is safe and fit for intended purpose
  • Manage all product and service complaints ensuring full communication with customers and internal elements as appropriate
  • Coordinate with Production and Warehouse management to routinely inspect all equipment resources to assure suitability, adequacy and continued operational effectiveness

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Formally trained in the principles of HACCP (Level 3)
  • Minimum 3 years within a Quality Management function, preferably within the food industry
  • Experience in managing Quality Database Systems and conducting internal audits
  • Knowledge of FSSC/BRC requirements essential
  • Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous
  • Food Safety level 2 minimum.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels and able to effectively build strong cross functional relationships
  • Strong people management skills with proactive leadership
  • Demonstrates a pragmatic and holistic perspective to organisational development
