Part-Time Accounts Assistant - London
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Accounts Assistant to join our busy finance team.

We are currently looking for an individual with strong organisational and analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and a good understanding of the accounting fundamentals.

The successful applicant must have experience working with Sage50. Experience of working within the construction industry would be advantageous.


The Role

Reporting to and working closely with the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for providing accounting and administrative support to the Finance Department, clients and stakeholders of the business.

Duties will include, but not limited to managing VAT and CIS activities; bank reconciliation, ensuring sales & purchase ledger, journals and expenses are all up to date; VAT returns are accurately calculated and logged with HMRC; preparing month end files for review; monitoring retention payments


Key Skills

• Excellent communicator, both written and verbally
• Strong IT skills, knowledge of Sage 50 essential
• High attention to detail and an investigative nature
• Experience in a similar role

Specialist Knowledge

• Good understanding of CIS and VAT
• Experience of working in the construction industry
• Experience in a business or finance environment
• Understanding of data privacy standards

Qualifications

• AAT or Part Qualified CIMA, ACCA or QBE (or equivalent)
