Iqony Solar Energy Solutions UK (SENS UK) are the Solar subsidiary of German Power company, Iqony Group (formerly STEAG).

The UK based team manage turnkey solutions within the development, construction, operation, maintenance of commercial scale rooftop andutility-scale ground mounted solar PV systems across the UK market.

SENS UK has been in operation since 2018, and truly value the opportunity to develop solutions and build partnerships.

SENS UK is looking to appoint a Head of Business Development to play an instrumental role as the business continues to evolve and progress.

Your new role

The Head of Business Development will be responsible for leading the growth of the company by identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to acquire them.

This role is critical to the success of the company as the business continues todevelop it's UK offering and footprint.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Market mapping: Conduct extensive research and analysis to identify and map new markets and opportunities for the company
  • New business acquisition: Develop and execute strategies to acquire new customers and partners, including identifying potential leads, creating sales plans and managing the sales process
  • Bid/tender writing: Write and manage the submission of bids and tenders, ensuring they are compelling and meet the requirements of the customer
  • Networking: Attend industry events and conferences to network and build relationships with potential customers and partners
  • Lead generation: Develop and implement lead generation strategies to identify and engage potential customers
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments within the company, such as engineering and finance, to ensure that bids and tenders are accurate and meet the company's goals
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports on the progress of business development activities and the impact on the company's growth
What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have proven experience, and success, within business development, tender management and new business wins within the renewable energy market.

You will enjoy working as part of a small, hands-on team, thrive ina customer facing position, and have the skill-set to blend the strategic, with operational delivery.

You will have strong understanding of the solar energy market and industry trends, excellent communication and negotiation skills coupled with strong writing skills; the ability to write compelling bids and tenders is vital.
