The department you will work in will be within the Maintenance area of the business and as a Team Leader you will lead teams and supervise people within the Maintenance Department to maximise efficiency in quality, velocity and cost while best equipping people to carry out their daily duties efficiently and as safely as possible.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Control the day to day running of the maintenance workshop and the maintenance technicians
- Use of CMMS System responding to the CMMS system to ensure prompt response to the customer
- Support and monitor shop floor safety, supporting the elimination of unsafe processes
- Support the maintenance technicians in daytoday decisions with regards to repairs and breakdown situations
- Support Maintenance techniques and RCA with Team Members
- Support process improvement dialogues with Team Members
- Support root cause corrective action projects and drives continuous improvement
- Have a fully flexible approach to the job role and responsibilities
- This role is a multishift position
Skills, experience & qualifications you will have:
- The ability to work closely with others is imperative, requiring team participation to achieve the agreed objectives
- A selfmotivated individual, with the flexibility to deal with individual and team behaviours. You should be able to
- Accredited apprenticeship qualification or equivalent
- Previous experience in leading Maintenance teams/projects
- Multiskilled in both electrical / mechanical functions
- Experience of championing and driving a positive safety culture
- Prior experience working in a busy manufacturing environment
- Experience of root cause corrective action/continuous improvement projects
- Experience in using PLC based systems
- Willing to undertake training and further learning as required
Skills, experience & qualifications you may have:
- NEBOSH / IOSH training and/or be able to demonstrate through previous experience, a positive attitude towards safety
- Knowledge and experience of lean tools and techniques/6 sigma
- Experience in carrying out Dynamic Risk Assessments
- Experience using FLT and MEWP
