Description

Leading specialist manufacturer of machined & fabricated components looking for talented individual to operate and set up CNC machinery in the milling and turning department.

As a CNC Operator/Setter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of CNC machines while adhering to the highest safety standards.

Responsibilities:

Safely set up, program, and operate CNC machines, following all safety policies and procedures
Ensure the machines are running smoothly and efficiently, producing optimal results
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring equipment is prepared before and after each use
Demonstrate a solid understanding of mechanical engineering and machining principles
Comply with all quality policies, specifications, and instructions
Load and unload materials into the CNC machinery accurately
Use precision gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements
Supervise machine operations, making necessary adjustments to ensure quality standards are met
Inspect and measure finished products, ensuring they meet the required specifications
Translate instructions into computer commands, enabling machines to perform the desired functions
Conduct test runs to verify machine outputs meet specifications
Perform daily checks and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal functionality

Skills:

Proficiency in operating, setting up, and programming CNC machinery and precision measurement tools
Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
Basic computer programming and CAD/CAM knowledge
Mechanical aptitude and strong mathematical skills
Attention to detail and a resultsdriven mindset

Salary:
£30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
