Our client is a diverse, passionate and multi-disciplinary team working across England and Wales with the aim to coordinate and enhance the police service's response to vulnerability.


They have a range of professionals on the team: people from the charity sector, academics, police officers and staff, all with wide ranging expertise.

They require a Senior Research Fellow to join the team.

You will have a commitment to applied research and be responsible for providing effective planning, management and delivery of a number of research and review projects.

You will have line managementresponsibility for a number of staff and may also be required to direct others assigned to projects under other portfolios.


This is a homeworking role, with a requirement to travel and work at other locations and venues nationally as may be reasonably required.

There will be an expectation for occasional overnight stays. Travel and expenses will be reimbursed in line with policestaff council conditions of service. If you are working from London, London weighting will apply.

Hours of work are full-time 37 hours per week, and this is negotiable. The post is offered on a fixed term contract. They are also recruiting for potential future vacancies

They were launched in 2018 in response to a growing and changing demand picture across policing.

This was with the aim of developing the evidence base and related policing responses to the abuse, neglect and exploitation of children and adults at risk toreduce offending and improve outcomes for those impacted.

Funded by the Home Office, their team has grown rapidly and is expected to employ around 60 people this financial year.

They use their insight and reach to influence policy and practice, enable crosspartnership working and improve outcomes for those requiring a policing response.

Many of these projects focus on direct engagement with forces and partners in order to gain an understanding of current practice,identification of gaps and exploration of opportunities for sharing knowledge and learning.
