We are currently looking to recruit a Building Integration Lead who will act as the architect for the HPC Nuclear Auxiliary Buildings as part of the Responsible Designer organisation (embedded in Edvance UK).
They will be responsible for the design intent and configuration management for the building, in relation to HPC project milestones.

The Building Integration Lead reports to the Post Delivery Manager within the Edvance Integrated Team Bristol, the main activities of the role are as follows:
- Act as the design architect for the building, and all its contents.
- Oversee progress and maturity of design, including consideration of design margins.
- Accountability for the changes to the building design.
- Management of interfaces between the different design disciplines (Civil, Piping, Electrical, HVAC, Systems, Contracts, ) as well as external suppliers.
- Technical issues resolution (including nonconformances).
- Chair various building maturity reviews.
- Report progress to the Edvance UK management and the client (HPC Project).
- Manage a small team of technical coordination engineers.
Who you are
Essential
- Previous knowledge and experience of design processes across multiple engineering disciplines
- Technically credible with excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Experience of working in large teams and complex environments
- Pragmatic solution focused approach towards resolving technical issues
- Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to set, achieve and maintain high standards of safety and quality
- Fluent English
- Engineering degree or equivalent
Desirable
- Knowledge and experience of the EPR design
- Management experience
- Ability to communicate in French
