This role is 28 hours which will be a mixture of on site working, and working from home. The days on site, and hours worked per day will be agreed with the successful applicant, any questions welcomed at interview
You will provide a comprehensive secretarial service to the consultants covering all aspects of the practice. The successful post holder will be responsible for waiting list management and will schedule patients with procedure dates.

The post holder will also be responsible for booking outpatient clinics, and will also be responsible for typing clinical letters meeting trust deadlines.

The secretary will also be responsible for managing an investigation log and will track patients through their pathway adhering to the 18 week RTT policy.

The Pain Management department has a mixture of health professionals across various sub specialities.

Consultants in Pain Management and Anaesthesia, Specialist Nurses, Specialist Physio Therapists and Psychologists are all part of a specialist Pain Management Centre here at MCCN.

We are a specialist unit comprising of 7 administrative members of staff. If you would like to join a close working team then we look forward to hearing from you.


Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the department of Pain Management in line with the NCA are working differently and finding new innovative ways of doing things.

This role, at time of being posted to advert, will have an element of both On-site & home working. This will be discussed with you in more detail at time of interview.


The Greater Manchester Neurosciences Centre is looking for a Medical Secretary with relevant experience to join Pain Management as part of Surgical Neurosciences.
