Responsibilities:


Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by entering, organising, and categorising financial transactions such as purchases, sales, receipts, and payments into appropriate accounting software or spreadsheets.


Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Process invoices, payments, and receipts. Monitor and manage accounts payable, ensuring timely payment of bills and invoices. Prepare and send invoices to customers and clients and follow up on overdue payments.

Bank Reconciliation:
Regularly reconcile bank statements with the company's financial records to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies or errors.

Financial Reporting:

Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis or as required.

Provide accurate financial reports to management, enabling informed decision-making.

Tax Compliance:
Assist in tax preparation and filing processes, ensuring compliance with applicable tax regulations. Keep track of tax deadlines, maintain relevant records, and collaborate with external accountants if necessary.

Data Analysis:
Analyse financial data and reports to identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies. Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial analysis.

Financial Administration:
Support financial administration tasks such as budgeting, forecasting, and expense tracking. Assist in financial audits and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.

Documentation and Record Maintenance:
Maintain organised and confidential financial records, including receipts, invoices, and financial statements. Ensure compliance with record-keeping requirements.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in accounting software and tools
  • Zoho Books an advantage but not essential
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, practices, and procedures
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Solid understanding of tax regulations and payroll processes
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information

Job Types:
Part-time, Zero hours contract

Part-time hours: 25 per week


Salary:
£18,494.00-£19,020.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Spalding: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
