About The Role:


Falmouth University's Games Academy has an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Game Programming to join its dynamic teaching team.

Creating unique games means working in a unique way.

This role involves working closely with students to help them make games using the Unreal Engine across one-on-one tutorials, small group supervisions, critiques, large lectures and workshops, and expo events.

It is anticipated this role will include the leadership and delivery of multiple modules that could span multiple courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level in the Games Academy


Potential modules could include:
- 'Advanced Game Programming'
- 'Digital Game Technology'
- 'Development Practice'
- 'Graphics & Simulations'

About You:


You will be comfortable supervising diverse teams formed of students from many different disciplines including art, animation, audio, design, programming, and writing, to help them make games using industry-standard tools and practices in a studio environment.

You will be working closely with students to help them make games using Unreal across one-on-one tutorials, small group supervisions, critiques, large lectures and workshops, and expo events.


  • Advanced knowledge of game programming and digital game technologies
  • Experience working in recent versions of Unreal Engine
  • An understanding of how computer science and mathematics are applied to game development
  • Demonstrable commitment to research and innovation in a digital games technology context or a closely related context
  • Good connections with industry and/or research groups
