Carolyn Spring has been a writer, trainer and thought leader in the field of mental health and trauma recovery since 2010.

She's published two books (one of which reached #11 in Amazon's overall Bestseller List), delivered live training to over 17,000 delegates,and currently has over 35,000 people enrolled on her online courses.

She is in high demand as a speaker and is looking to launch a variety of new courses this year and beyond, both in the UK and reaching our growing overseas markets.

Could you be Carolyn Spring's Business Manager, and free her up to focus on writing and delivering her message of hope for recovery to the world?


After a significant reorganisation during the pandemic, we are now looking to press full ahead with the many opportunities for growth and impact available to us, and we need someone to head up that work.

They will have responsibility for day-to-day managementand delivering projects in line with the company's strategic objectives.


There are three key areas of responsibility:

Project management:

taking what Carolyn has written and delivering that into launched products (training and publications), marketing it, and then backing up sales with outstanding customer service.


Team management:

building, managing and developing a high-performing team to deliver those projects, including recruiting the right people for the right roles.


Business management:
to run a safe, compliant and profitable organisation with a sound infrastructure to manage the team to deliver the projects (i.e. covering all aspects of the business).


You will be Carolyn's right hand person in 'reversing adversity' and impacting the lives of millions of people affected by abuse, trauma, suicide and other distressing experiences.


We're looking for someone with at least 5 years' management experience and a track record of managing people, delivering projects and growing revenue.

You need to have an eye for detail, a strong work ethic, have broad strategic thinking and be a genuinelygreat person for Carolyn and the rest of the team to work with.

Although it will be a stretching and demanding role, you'll also have the benefit of some flexible working including a hybrid working arrangement (by agreement).

What we need from you:


  • A degree and/or qualification in business or management, or clearly demonstrable experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in an organisational leadership role
  • Solid business experience and acumen
  • Proven experience of:
  • Developing and implementing strategic and business plans
  • People management
  • Overseeing operational and financial performance, including budgets
  • Ensuring compliance with company and employment law
  • Risk management
  • Being IT proficient

Please note that this role is based in the Peterborough office but there could be some working remotely (as a guide a day a week) and flexibility with prior agreement
