Job Summary


To provide professional legal advice and contract support to Maximus UK businesses in relation to Business Development, Procurement and Sales and general business activity.


Salary Range:

Non London:
£60,000 - £65,000


London:
£65,000 - £70,000

This role will be recruited in anticipation of Contract Reward.
Essential Job Duties

  • To support (as required) all business areas in relation to contractual reviews for new client opportunities and for renewals, extensions, variations of existing contracts.
  • Support procurement as appropriate with the negotiation and drafting of supplier contracts
  • Manage postcontract contractual issues in a timely and efficient way.
  • Work with the Data Protection Team in managing data protection issues.
  • Work with Legal Director in managing contractual disputes/litigations/employment relations issues
  • Review incoming requests for tenders and identify legal issues
  • Answer queries from business development, management, finance and other internal and external stakeholders and respond in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist in development and maintenance of company policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

ESSENTIAL

  • Bachelor's degree in commercial management or law or equivalent experience
  • Considerable experience of negotiating and legal/contracts experience including postcontract issue management
  • Demonstrable ability to consolidate operational and commercial feedback for incorporation into contracts.
  • Proven experience in providing contract reviews and analysis to the business in relation to general contractual matters including potential or actual disputes

DESIRABLE

  • Graduate / equivalent qualified preferably law degree or graduate diploma in law

  • Fluent in spoken and written English
