Working along side your nursing and medical colleagues at Freeman Hospital to ensure the interventional radiology department has an efficient stock management system, to ensure continued supplies of equipment needed by the medical and nursing team, to maintain accurate records, liaising with company representatives and their customer services departments, completing stock takes as required.


As a specialist centre our patients come from across the region and you will be working in a team that has been awarded exemplar status for demonstrating a maintained commitment to quality improvement from the British Society of Interventional Radiology and the Royal College of Radiologists.


  • Interview date: 4th April 202 37 hours 30 minutes minutes to work over five days a week (Monday to Friday)

To maintain an excellent level of administrative service within the radiology directorate.


To undertake a range of duties to ensure an efficient stock control management system is available to the Interventional Radiology department based in FH including, but not exclusively, weekly ordering of specialist stock, ordering of bespoke stent grafts and other equipment as requested by consultant radiologists, undertake with support from nursing colleagues the monthly stock take and quarterly stock check.

Ensure the effective rotation of stock to avoid waste. To maintain accurate records of stock including consignment and non-consignment items, stock and non-stock.

To communicate in a timely way any discrepancy in stock availability to nursing sister and consultant radiologists.

Liaison with representatives from major companies and their customer service departments.


The provision of an effective telephone enquiry service including the recording of accurate messages for medical, radiographic and nursing staff.

To be the first point of contact for visitors (out patients, company representatives, other trust staff) whilst working at the front desk.


To participate in queries from clerical, nursing, supplies and medical staff internally and company customer service departments and representatives externally.
