Job Title - Mobile Senior Supervisor (DC)

Salary - £22,500pa

Hours - 37.5hrs per week Mon - Fri (Working 7am - 3pm) Flexibility required

Annual leave - 20 days per year (plus bank holidays)

Base - Home based

Reporting to - Service Delivery Manager & Assistant Service Delivery Manager

Pension - Auto enrolment

Job Summary
Working as part of the JPR operational management team, in providing world class service to our clients. Reporting directly to the Service Delivery Manager & Assistant Service Delivery Manager.

The post is responsible in assisting the management team, to ensure the vehicle deep clean and make ready service provided to North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust, operates in line with the agreed contract standards (inc. H&S and infection control). Also, completing the required auditing, recruitment, and HR documentation, where appropriate.


What is vehicle make ready? - Make ready is a system which sees ambulances prepared for use by a dedicated team of specialists meaning clinical staff can spend more time on the road responding to patients.

Each vehicle is stocked to a standard specification, key equipment is checked, and the vehicle is cleaned before it goes back into service.

All this is performed at dedicate make ready centres strategically located within each area.

You will be covering at various locations, across the North West. A degree of flexibility and overtime is required as this is a support role to the emergency services.


Job Specific Requirements

  • Deputise in the manager's absence to ensure the smooth running of the Vehicle
Deep Clean & Make Ready contracts.

  • Supporting the management team by analysing the fleet list and act accordingly,
along with ensuring Vehicle Deep Clean performance is above 90% across all
sectors by month end.

  • Working collaboratively with NWAS to secure and arrange vehicles due for deep
clean for the site operatives, where required.

  • Examining standards of cleanliness through monthly audits and create action plans
to improve, where underperformance is identified.

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders across NWAS and private contracts.
  • To role model the JPR corporate values around Integrity, Collaboration, Courage
and Passion leading and inspiring your teams to display these behaviours.

  • Assist in recruitment, onboarding and training of new employees.
  • Complete any relevant HR documentation, as required.
  • To work in line with the Trusts Infection Prevention Control policy (IPC)
  • To perform deep cleaning (internal & external) of vehicles according to the
Standing Operating Procedure (SOP).

  • Report all defects and deficiencies on the vehicle and equipment to the appropriate
manager.

  • Ensure the appropriate manual handling techniques are applied as per training
when moving and handling equipment.

  • To complete the daily cleaning documentation as assigned.
  • Ensure Health & Safety guidelines are followed according to current policies and
procedures.

  • To comply with any risk assessments to control hazards and implement safe
systems of work to reduce dangers or risks to yourself, and others.

  • Work unsupervised under the company's' lone worker policy, where necessary.
  • To undertake any further duties as requested by your line manager.
  • Work at various locations across North West, to cover where required.
  • Work on private contracts and other parts of the business, where required.

Person Specification

  • Good interpersonal skills, with a professional and polite manner.
  • Must have a valid manual UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
  • Essential to be receptive to new ideas and a willingness to adapt to change.
  • Experience of operational working within the ambulance sector and managing
multi-site teams, would be advantageous.

  • Ability to work on own initiative or part of a team, along with prioritising workloads
to achieve objectives.

  • Cleaning experience preferred; however full training will be provided.
  • Can work as part of a team and to work on own initiative.
  • Be familiar with Microsoft 365 software
  • Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook
