POSITION DESCRIPTION


At our PAM manufacturing plant in Ilkeston, we are looking for a
Team Leader, to lead a team of colleagues within our Flange Pipe Department.

The department is responsible for the production of industrial pipes, and then finishing products ready for customer delivery using shot blasting and other product cleaning processes.


PAM is one of 30 Saint-Gobain brands and is the premier supplier of ductile iron and cast iron products. Our product range is extensive and includes; cast iron piping, fittings, valves, drainage systems, water/sewer pipelines, access covers and gratings. We supply some of the UK's key utilities, telecoms, highways, civil engineering, construction, and housing companies.


What we're looking for:


  • Experience in leading teams in a production, manufacturing, or heavy industry environment would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge or experience in supporting and driving a team's performance through one to one's, reviews, appraisals, objective setting and performance management.
  • Previous experience in managing safety or formal safety training such as IOSH would be great, but this is an area we will deliver formal training in regardless of your experience.
  • Great organising and planning skills, with an ability to problem solve in the delivery of production plans.
  • A strong communicator, able to work with individuals at all levels.

  • Ensuring everybody adheres to all appropriate safety & sustainability policies and regulations. Safety is our No.1 priority and we

  • Monitoring production vs plan and ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
  • Working to strict timescales to meet customer promise dates as we support vital water infrastructure projects in the UK and abroad.
  • Ensuring the highest quality standards are achieved. We are renowned for our high quality products and services.
  • Support and encourage a culture of engagement, commitment and flexibility within the team. Everybody has a part to play in our success.
  • Conduct team briefings, toolbox talks and formal presentations where required. Encourage and develop twoway communication processes within the Department and other parts of the business.
  • Completing administration tasks and maintaining accurate records.
