We are looking for someone who is passionate about great digital experiences, strong in front-end development and with solid, creative problem-solving skills.

You'll be key to creating the front end for our new platform and future digital products.

The Role
The Digital Development Team is embarking on an exciting journey to replatform online work and evaluate several new solutions.

The Front-end Developer will join the team at a critical time and be able to shape our choice of tools for the next stage of our journey.


This cross-functional, collaborative role will work closely with other developers in the Digital Development Team, the Digital Designer and a number of key stakeholders both internally and externally, including technical and creative roles across different teams and departments.


About You:

As Mid-weight Front-end developer, you will have either a degree in a computer-related discipline or relevant experience, as well as:

  • Proven experience working as a front-end developer within a software development team, e.g. a digital agency
  • Strong, proven skills in JavaScript/TypeScript development, including at least one major framework such as
  • Significant experience in frontend web technologies including HTML, CSS, SASS, Webpack, Bootstrap and JavaScript
  • Handson experience in Content Management System (CMS) deployment, development, configuration and design. Experience of and/or interest in working with a headless CMS particularly desirable
  • Proven experience developing plugins to extend the functionality of a CMS platform, e.g. WordPress or similar
  • Proven experience of working with source control tools, such as Git, to work collaboratively with other developers
  • Proven experience of usability testing on different platforms and devices
