We are looking for experienced HR Consultants to join the HR team here at Norfolk County Council, and to play a key role in the delivery of HR services and resolving complex HR issues across the organisation.

Our Human Resources service is responsible for managing every aspect of the employee lifecycle within Norfolk County Council.

Our aim is to support and encourage every employee to fulfil their potential, and our team cover everything from recruitment to reward, health and safety to policy.

With a focus on growing a skilled and diverse workforce, and a compassionate and fair approach, we support other services to ensure we are working efficiently, collaboratively, and with a strong customer focus.

To be considered for the role, you'll need significant demonstrable experience working in an HR role, ideally in a large and complex organisation.

You'll be comfortable providing advice on challenging HR issues and will be used to working with senior managers.

Ideally, you'll have a CIPD qualification (or equivalent) at level 6 or above, but we are happy to consider people with comparable experience working at that level.

You'll also need first class communication skills, the ability to challenge, influence, coach and mentor at a senior level, and a real enthusiasm for delivering positive outcomes.

In return, we can offer you a supportive environment, with a wealth of training and development opportunities to support your longer-term career development.

We're a busy team, so you'll have lots to get involved with, and will be able to make a positive difference for our employees.

Our hybrid working approach will give you flexibility, and we have a wide range of other benefits available.

If you're still reading, and you think you have what it takes, then we would love to hear from you.

We want our people to be inspired and motivated to work well together, make the most of our workspaces, enjoy a healthy work-life balance, and deliver excellent services to Norfolk and its people.

Flexibility is built into the way we work, with hybrid working a key feature for many roles. Our technology platform and equipment are first class, enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We ask that you have in place good Broadband connectivity.
