Team Leader (Domestic Abuse)

Permanent

£31,615 - £38,271 (equivalent to £ £21.03 per hour)

Collins Street, Oxford (flexible)
A2Dominion Domestic Abuse Service (ADAS) currently holds contracts for the delivery of domestic abuse services in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

Within the service, we own and operate refuges, places of safety, and helpline services, as well as delivering outreach services, all within a psychologically informed environment (PIE).

ADAS is split into two teams, and we are looking for a
Team Leader to manage the helpline, outreach and community link services.

This post is also the lead for data returns for the whole ADAS service. You will directly line manage approximately eight team members across the three areas.

Whilst the outreach and community link service generally operate standard business hours, the helpline is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 7pm, so flexibility is the key.

More about the role:

As a Team Leader, you will be expected to:

  • To take overall responsibility for the delivery of excellent services within your area by providing effective leadership and management to a team delivering support services.
  • To be an ambassador for domestic abuse services, promoting the ADAS service internally as well as to external partners.
  • To ensure that support service delivery and housing management work jointly and cohesively together to give the best possible service to those that we are supporting.
  • To oversee occupation levels and minimise void rent loss across the service.
  • To ensure accurate records are maintained in compliance with internal procedures, regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • To contribute to the Group's achievement of its targets and objectives, through the development and implementation of operational strategies for support services.
  • To ensure prompt and accurate submission of invoices and key performance indicator returns.
  • To ensure services are run to budget.
  • To recruit, manage, develop and support direct reports in order to achieve the highest standards of performance, in accordance with internal and statutory procedures, including the Group's Health and Safety and Equality and Diversity Policies.
  • To support and actively promote training and development of staff, ensuring that regular support and supervisions are held, training needs are identified and met.
  • To support the Group's Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA) accreditation process.

More about you:

You may already be a manager within a domestic abuse service, or you may be looking to take your next career step.

Either way, we are looking for:

  • Experience of providing effective customer focused services, ideally within a domestic abuse or riskmanagement setting.
  • Experience of managing safeguarding issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to network and build strong relationships with partner agencies, community groups and key stakeholders.
  • Experience in dealing with distressed vulnerable service users.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly using spreadsheets and Power BI reporting.
  • Experience of managing a team and evidence of being a visible leader would be an advantage.
  • Full driving license and access to a car.
  • Ability to work nonstandard hours on occasion based on service user and commissioner needs.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance required.

Don't worry if you don't think you tick every box - we appreciate that everyone's experiences are different, and would be keen to hear from you.
