Description
The Humber Child Health Service is looking for an innovative and dedicated part time administrative assistant. The role is for 30 hours per week paid pro rata.


To support the team leader in providing clerical and administrative services to primary care and community trust teams by carrying out general office tasks and utilising appropriate computer systems.


To use own initiative to resolve problems of a customer service or administrative nature within pre-defined limits and referring anything more complex to the line manager.

Generate and distribute appointments/documents using specialised computer systems to agreed procedures. Maintain complete sets of medical records, both manually and computerised. Forwarding, distributing, and requesting from other localities/authorities.


To prioritise own work on a daily basis to meet deadlines within the scope of defined agreed procedures and with periodic supervision.

To record client information accurately and in the appropriate format paying attention to appropriate timescales and achieving deadlines.

Participate in data quality measures and the ability to take appropriate action.

Use a computer, to produce correspondence, reports, and other documentation, which may include copy typing and audio typing.

To liase effectively with other departments/outside agencies to ensure accuracy and timelines of data.

To deal with incoming/outgoing mail according to workplace procedures.


To answer incoming telephone calls, both internal and external, ensuring they are answered in an appropriate manner, dealing with all enquiries effectively and responsively.

To take appropriate follow up action.

To assist with the arrangement of meetings and take notes of a non-complex nature.
