The Opportunity

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Employee Relations Consultant to join our Employee Experience Team based in Maidenhead, UK.

Employee Relations Consultants are based across 8 countries and supporting 23 countries pan-EMEA. We deal with all employee and labour relations activity within EMEA and work closely with our global ER colleagues.

What You'll Do

Assess and investigate grievances and policy violations and provide consultation on disciplinary action and involuntary terminations.

Coach managers and employees on performance management.

Advice HRBPs and the business on how to handle reorganisations, coaching and change managing through those changes.

Collaborate with Employment legal department, CoEs and HRBPs and provide general consultation on employee relations and employment law topics.


Participate in projects, regionally and internationally, as requested to scale as we grow and provide outstanding outcomes and experience for our internal customers.

Coach managers on employees' individual and sensitive issues.

Advise and support Managers on employee severance and Settlement Agreements

Provide mediation and/or conflict resolution with Managers and/or employees.

Support M&A projects

Build successful relationships with UKI HRBPs's and key business stakeholders

Great communication and coaching skills

A track record of strong cross-functional collaboration and partnership

Experience in all areas of Employee Relations in a fast paced and challenging environment

Ability to deal with difficult and ambiguous situations as well as initiating solutions.

Wider Employment law knowledge or background across other countries, particularly Ireland, would be helpful.

Experience of working in a matrixed environment.
What you need to succeed

A well-developed knowledge of UK employment law.

A pragmatic and commercial approach.

Experience in providing guidance in implementation of reorganisations, M&As, individual involuntary terminations, performance management and investigations.

Demonstrable influencing and partnership skills to work across organizations, groups and cultures

Ability to navigate in circumstances, without direction, if need be, and to drive new challenges to optimal outcomes.

Able to use data to draw insights, inform decisions and drive action.

Highly effective communication skills, including effective listening, questioning skills, presentation, negotiation, and persuasion.

Demonstrable experience in conflict management.

Ability to use own judgment to problem solve, make decisions and involve key individuals at the appropriate time.

Outcome oriented

Constant focus on continuous learning and development.
