Job Title:
Retail Officer

Reports to:
Visitor Services Manager

Term:
Permanent, part-time, 3 days a week

Salary:
£25,000 pro rata (£15,000)

The Retail Officer ensures that the museum's visitor welcome is first-class.

As well as providing excellent customer care, they supervise the Retail Assistants and choose, order and manage the shop stock.

We are looking for someone friendly, outgoing and confident, who can think on their feet and deal with a range of customer enquiries.

You are the first person our visitors will meet and we want you to set the tone for their visit, so commitment to the museum's mission and an interest in what we do is really important.

You will love retail and have excellent visual merchandising/display skills.

You will be commercially minded and see the opportunity for the shop to grow and support the wider work of the museum with an exciting range of custom products, books and food-related gifts.
