- The Manchester College is based at many sites across the city, each with its own specialist cutting edge facilities within a friendly and supportive environment. We are the largest FE College in the UK providing education and training to a wide range of learners.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Student Support and Foundation Learning Department as a Safeguarding Team Leader on a permanent, full time (35 hours per week) basis.**The purpose of this role is to effectively manage a team of Safeguarding Practitioners to ensure a high-quality level of safeguarding support and interventions are provided.
Provide safeguarding case assessments, reviews and monitoring focused on targeted and timely support for at-risk students including high risk safeguarding.
Provide case supervision and ensure timely safeguarding interventions are provided.
In order to do this, you will need:
- Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics or equivalent
- Experience of working with working with young people and adults in similar environment
- Experience of working with vulnerable / 'at risk' young people and adults
- Line Management experience
- Experience of working with internal / external agencies
- Experience of risk assessments and defensible decision making.
- Delivery of staff training and CPD
