Here at St Barnabas Multi Academy Trust we seek an experienced and innovative senior education professional with a good working knowledge of safeguarding.

They will have a record of successful strategic leadership including rapid turnaround of schools, ranging in size from small to large, moving them from a category to at least good.

Able to demonstrate through experience sustainable academy improvement with imagination, flair and a determination to succeed.

Our new Rapid Improvement Leader will be an exceptional leader with the energy, rigour and authority to represent us effectively at the most senior levels in education.

They will demonstrate the following experience, skills, knowledge and personal attributes.

Experience

  • A proven record of successful, senior education leadership including rapid improvement within a range of school sizes moving them from a category to good.
  • Significant experience of raising standards with measurable outcomes and clear evidence of a positive personal contribution to the development of a successful school, and/or local authority or academy trust.
  • Experience of delivering effective innovations in curriculum and pedagogy.
  • Be able to provide evidence of outstanding practice in one or more settings.
Skills and Knowledge

  • A detailed knowledge of assessment and the use of data to monitor and raise standards.
  • Practical and successful experience of performance evaluation and management.
  • Understanding of the relationship between financial and human resources and educational outcomes.
  • Extensive knowledge of developments in curriculum, pedagogy and technologies and an ability to discern what is of practical value.
  • A commitment to the ethos of the Trust with the capacity to make productive contributions to the national education debate.
  • Firstclass ambassadorial skills with an ability to present to the Trust in an authoritative and persuasive manner.
  • Handle personal data responsibly, securely and in line with the Data Protection Policy, guidance and training.

The purpose of the role is to keep children safe and to demonstrate and share outstanding teaching and learning within target schools across the Trust.

To liaise with other members of the Leadership Team. To ensure excellent outcomes for all children by the end of KS2. To develop the Bring it Trust vision and approach.

To support, advise and coach members of the team where appropriate.

To support the heads and the Trust SLT to monitor the quality of teaching and learning across targeted schools in line with the school policy.


To support the Trust SLT to review and develop planning in targeted schools to ensure coverage, progression and a range of learning experiences across the Key Stages.


To support the Trust SLT to ensure planning is effectively carried out and ensure pupils' individual needs are being met.


To support the Trust SLT to monitor the standards of achievement and behaviour within their year group and across Key Stages to ensure continuity and progression.

To support staff to meet their Performance Management targets.

To support the heads and the Trust SLT to monitor planning to ensure individual needs are being met.


Leadership - Support the heads and Trust SLT in providing a clear vision and direction for rapid improvement in targeted schools across the Trust.

Attend Phase Leader meetings as required.

Be a strong advocate for change and champion school improvement through conveying a positive "can do" attitude. Establish good relationships, encourage good working practices and support, coach and lead teachers.

This is a full time permanent position within a Multi Academy Trust setting.


Please note this job is not based in Bodmin, we have multiple sites across our trust and daily travel will be anticipated to ensure all schools are visited.

Interviews will take place on Monday 4th March 2024.
