MYM Recruitment are working with our Draperstown client.

Due to ongoing demand, they wish to recruit an
Accounts Assistant who will play an integral part in the smooth running of all accounts duties to include invoicing, costing, sales ledger, contract maintenance, dealing with customer and account queries within a busy office environment.


Key Duties/Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

  • Bank reconciliation for company bank accounts.
  • Prepare and issue customer statements, ensure receipt of payments and liaise with customers regarding overdue payments.
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements to supplier invoices, ensure all invoices are correctly coded for both nominal and VAT, processing and ensuring accurate supplier payments in line with due dates.
  • Purchase ledger cover as required and processing of ad hoc invoices.
  • Maintain supplier and customer details, set up new suppliers and customers.
  • Payroll processing using sage and clocking system including HMRC reporting, pension reporting, joiners and leavers, statutory payments.
  • Assisting in preparation of management accounts.
  • Monthly sales analysis.
  • Calculating and issuing monthly member rebate credit notes.
  • Verifying and tracking supplier rebates.

Essential Criteria:


  • Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger role would be beneficia.
  • Working knowledge of accounting software system
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multi task
  • Experience in working in a high volume and fast paced enviornment.
  • Ability to take instruction but also ability to work on own initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A 'can do' 'will do' attitude.
  • Attentive to detail in relation to quality.
  • Be health and safety conscious.
  • Flexible to the needs of the business.

Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: 12 months


Salary:
£25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
