What you'll do:
We have around 400 water recycling centres (sewage treatment works) and more than 2,000 sewage pumping stations.
The water you use to clean your teeth, shower and bath, and flush the toilet becomes sewage - we treat 888 million litres of it every day.
The job involves transporting sewage sludge to and from specified sites, while also ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and keeping costs low by ensuring the product is collected from the correct place and on schedule.
What you'll need:
You will need to have a clean HGV Class 1 driving licence and be qualified in, or working towards, Drivers CPC.
Experience with vacuum/pressure tankers or similar equipment is advantageous. Lone working is part of this role, so you must be capable of working unsupervised.
You should also be computer literate and have a strong geographical knowledge of the area. Strong communication skills are also essential.
