South Craven School, supported by South Craven Academy Trust since May 2011, is an oversubscribed 11-18 mixed comprehensive school situated in a semi-rural location on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales with easy access to Leeds, Bradford and Greater Manchester.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the PE department for an enthusiastic, talented teacher to join the team as a Teacher of Girls' PE and assist the Head of the department.

The faculty is a vibrant and highly successful faculty.

The main duties and responsibilities of this post include:

Teaching all aspects of physical education
Responsible for level 2 BTEC tech award in sport Supporting PE MAGT students in school
Supporting the Head of department in the day to day running of the department
Developing and maintaining an uptodate knowledge of the curriculum
Using appropriate teaching and classroom strategies to motivate students and enable their progress
Contributing actively to the policies and aspirations of the school.
Contributing to extracurricular activities.
An ability to teach Physical Education
An ability to lead on the KS3 curriculum
An ability to lead on the Level 2 BTEC tech award course.
A desire to Supporting MAGT students in PE
The potential to be an outstanding teacher
Knowledge and understanding of the curriculum and pedagogy
Personal ambition and the capacity for hard work
