up to £23,337.60 per annum (Dependant on experience)

Join our team as a Student Enrichment Officer at Durham University International Study Centre and play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of our students.

The Student Enrichment Officer is a key role within the Progression Support Team.

The post holder will provide support to students to ensure they have a positive experience, assisting with the coordination of events and activities and encouraging student engagement, to support their progression and transition to University life.

The post holder will assist with facilitating student forums and committees.

They will also assist with planning a varied schedule of enrichment activities, including events, clubs and societies and trips and visit and supporting the planning and implementation of induction and arrivals activities.


ABOUT THE ROLE


To provide general student support, ensuring that all students have a positive experience whilst studying at the International Study Centre.


Events and Activities

  • To support with researching, planning, coordinating and implementing suitable and attractive activities and events for international students, engaging with students regarding potential events and encouraging participation and attendance
  • Ensure that venues, catering/refreshments and equipment are booked as appropriate for identified events
  • To promote and publicise all events, managing and printing the production of all promotional materials
  • To liaise with tutors and provide support with school excursions
  • To support with planning Durham University visit days and assist with managing the college allocation process
  • To assist with planning staff events and activities
  • To engage with students regarding sports development activities, working closely with Durham University & Team Durham
  • To assist with setting up and supporting ISC student clubs and societies.

Student Volunteering and Representatives

  • To support the establishment of student forums and committees, to assist with managing the nomination and election processes for student representatives and assist with training and maintaining communication with student representatives
  • To assist with facilitating the operation of student forums, events and committees
  • To support with setting up student volunteering opportunities for students with local organisations.

Marketing and Social Media

  • To work closely with the Marketing Team regarding all ISC events and activities, ensuring events are shared on social media
  • To support with producing the weekly student newsletter
  • To support the Marketing Team with film, photo shoots and interviews with students.

ABOUT YOU

  • Level 3 qualification (Desirable)
  • Experience working in a pressurised environment (Essential)
  • Experience working in administration (Essential)
  • Experience organising events and activities (Essential)
  • Experience of working with students in an education environment (Desirable)
