Job Summary
Support the Purchasing department in all aspects of the Purchasing function. Category Management of raw materials and bespoke machined parts. Responsible for procurement of sub-contract processes, liaising directly with design and production facilities. Create and maintain market and price trend monthly analysis report.

Job Duties

Office Based Functions

Maintaining and administrating supplier data
Obtaining quotations (both production and nonproduction)
Assist with chasing outstanding orders
Create and expedite outside processing order processing
Raising purchasing orders in line with system and company requirements, ensuring price, quantity and delivery expectations are adhered to
Assist with estimating and quoting when required with the relevant departments

Non-Office Based Functions

Preparation of samples for RFQ's
Preparation & administration of supplier reject materials in conjunction with warehouse team
Close liaison with production department to help and assist with supplier related issues
Building good relationships with suppliers and ensure getting the best value for money for the company

Person Specification

Familiarity with all aspects of the purchasing function, ideally within an engineering/manufacturing environment, with the ability to read engineering drawings
Category management of raw materials and bespoke machined parts
Responsible for the procurement of subcontract processes, liaising directly with design and production facilities
Involvement in the quotation process
Preparation and administration of supplier reject materials
Commercial awareness
Develop Supplier relationships
Ability to work under pressure

Hours
38 hours basic week

8.30am - 5.00pm from Monday to Thursday and 8.00am - 2.30pm on Friday.
