You will be working with the Finance Service Lead to maintain contract efficiencies
:


This will be an integral role that will allow you to focus on developing the service to be a sustainable alternative to in school provisions.
The focus will be on ensuring your team are trained and motivated to deliver against contract expectations.

Supporting them to achieve their best at all times by understanding their training, mentoring and communication needs to create a highly effective team.

Reviewing capacity against contracts to ensure a sustainable profit margin is achieved.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • To provide a bursary support service and financial system support to Multi Academy Trust's remotely.
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of computerised financial systems, including PS Financials and any other relevant school software as required. Responsibility for continued development in system changes with an enthusiasm to learn new systems.
  • Maintain good working knowledge of the Finance Assistant and Finance Officer duties to ensure cover can be provided by the Team Leader if needed.
  • Provide an efficient help line service to schools within the Trust as required.
  • Maintain accurate records ensuring that all information relating to the school is kept confidentially and is filed appropriately on the academy finance system.
  • Work as part of a team to deliver and build the Managed Service.
  • Recognise potential problems in schools so that these may be highlighted in order that appropriate action can be taken.
  • Work collaboratively with schools, for the benefit of all, when issues arising have potential implications for others.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with individuals across the schools, anticipating and managing concerns, and ensuring key people are engaged and communications are transparent.
  • Provide support and advice to other team members as required.
  • Attend and contribute to all team/office meetings.

  • Provide structure and direction
  • Deployment of resources to meet contract needs
  • Provide knowledge, advice and guidance to the team to enable good performance
  • Set standards and parameters to ensure clear expectations for quality and accuracy
  • Communicate effectively through an agreed method in addition to team meetings
  • Carry out staff annual appraisals and 1:1s in line with company policy and manage poor performance
  • Identify training and development needs and make recommendations
  • Participate in staff recruitment, induction and mentoring of new and existing staff
  • Manage staff attendance and cover, including holiday and sickness approvals
  • Liaise with customers and key stakeholders to manage contracts and relationships
  • Prepare and facilitate the onboarding process for new customers
  • Assist the Finance Service Lead to maintain quality assurance of the service
  • Improve upon existing processes and team behaviours to create a positive culture in the workplace
  • Assist the Finance Service Lead with the development of Finance Service growth.
Any additional duties commensurate with the post as specified by the Finance Service Lead.
