Description

The purpose of the GIS Technician will be to work collaboratively within a design and build team in the delivery of GIS outputs of multiple projects.

This is an involved role, using QGIS as well as internal custom built tooling, to work with a variety of large GIS datasets

This role will provide you with the opportunity to expand on your existing GIS and data management skills and provide you with excellent long-term potential to advance your career.

Skills & Experience Required

6 months+ commercial GIS experience
Educated to degree level in Geography or GIS related discipline
ArcGIS and QGIS GIS experience
Knowledge of using GIS software for data capture and manipulation
A good eye for detail to ensure the captured data is highly accurate firsttime round
Knowledge of spatial data formats and standards
An understanding of geographic business intelligence
Experience with Python would be beneficial
Highly analytical mind set and a 'first time right' attitude
Proactively keep up to date with advances in the GIS community
Ability to knowledge share and bring new ideas to the team
Excellent communication skills
Motivated and enthused by challenges, coupled with a strong team focus
A strong desire to contribute to a unique product and user experience
