Care Assistant - Pulborough, United Kingdom - Gozone care Ltd
Description
We are looking for an experienced carer to join our team.You will be required to be flexible in the area you work, our main areas of work are in Pulborough, Storrington, West Chiltington, Petworth and Midhurst.
You must have your own transport and be a self-motivated, caring individual with a good knowledge of the local area.
Duties:
- Provide care and support to people in their own homes, respecting their privacy and dignity. Maintain their independence and enhance their quality of life.
- Assist with all aspects of personal care and support for the elderly and people with disabilities.
- Assist with medication and ensure all information is recorded and records are maintained in accordance with West Sussex County Council framework.
- Assist with meal preparation, shopping and light domestic housework.
- Provide companionship for people with dementia. People with dementia may become confused and it is important to respect and assist with their emotional and physical wellbeing.
- All carers are allocated with either a care coordinator who work alongside all carers and are there for advice and support.
Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Be flexible in the area you work
- Use your own initiative and work independently as well as within a team.
- Be compassionate and understanding of other's needs.
- Own transport
Pay:
£12.00-£13.00 per hour
Expected hours:
No less than 37 per week
