Overview


Reporting directly into the Billing Manager within the Transactional Finance Team, the main focus of this role will be to manage all billing activities for a specified region from within our Global Billing Function (The Regions within our Global Billing Function include UK & Ireland, Benelux, Rest of Europe and the US & APAC).

The role will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of Billing Specialists and Senior Billing Specialists in order drive billing activities in a timely, efficient and to a high standard in line with the Transanctional Finance Value Proposition model.

This role gives you the opportunity to work alongside regional directors, senior members of the sales force in addition to department heads throughout the operations and support functions.

You will be a confident individual with attention to detail, flexible, with the ability to prioritise and manage a busy and varied workload.


Responsibilities:


  • To lead, motivate and influence a team of Billing Specialists and Senior Billing Specialists; this includes conducting appraisals and working with individual's on objectives and personal development plans.
  • Completion of weekly billing runs within the specified deadlines for your region (ID facility drawdowns); this includes completing all prebilling reconciliations to ensure that all invoicing has pulled through into the system correctly.
  • Continuous improvement aimed at ensuring our Billing is correct first time; minimising Billing rework, reducing risk to late payments from customers and contributing to our DSO figure.
  • Drive down unbilled balances within your region
  • Managing the selfbill customers within your region in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Reconciling revenue and address discrepancies with Management accounts
  • Managing the relevant billing inboxes in a timely manner; requests should be responded to within 48 hours.
  • Managing the reduction of collection cases and mitigating any risks that would create new collection cases. i.e. ensuring that all systems are updated with any corrections required.
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders (deal to cash team, regional directors & front office consultants) on any Billing Issues
  • Maintaining and collating Management Information for the Senior Management Team i.e. audits, VAT returns, Ad hoc requests
  • Ensuring that all Process Documents and Client Indexes are reviewed regular and kept up to date with the latest information
  • Continually working towards driving down all Billing KPI's in line with quarterly targets
  • Performance reporting for own team
  • Month end process management
  • Ad Hoc projects relating to continuous improvement with Billing Function
