Avon Park Retirement Village is on the lookout for a Kitchen Assistant.

As a Kitchen Assistant you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our kitchen.

You will work closely with the culinary team to prepare and serve delicious and nutritious meals to our residents and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Your dedication to quality service and attention to detail will make a positive impact on the daily lives of our residents.

Set within wonderfully leafy 15 acres of landscaped grounds overlooking the Avon Valley and just 6 miles from the popular spa town of Bath, Avonpark retirement village is the perfect place to work while feeling part of a great community.

Job Summary

Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including the dish washing machine, hand wash stations and potscrubbing station.
Wash and disinfect kitchen and store room areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment. Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock.
Empty and maintain bins.
Clean and mop all areas in assigned departments.
Break down cardboard boxes and place them and other recyclables in the recycle bin.
Follow instruction as per Head Chef and Sous Chef.
5 Hour shifts, alternate weekends and overtime cover available.
