  • Key Responsibilities:
  • The role forms part of the overall first line Financial Crime, Risk Assessment Unit. You will work closely with the Asset Management Financial Crime team and collaborate with other stakeholders to support Head of KYC and Client Onboarding and work with the team on various workstreams. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to create presentations and present the for senior stakeholders within the Global Controls and operations (Asset Management), fostering regular engagement and interaction with business teams.
Support KYC/client onboarding processes, by shadowing existing Financial Crime Risk Partners, learn regulatory requirements that the team must adhere to. Support the automation of onboarding platform, understanding the requirements, work with 3rd party supplier to successfully implement the platform. Help create presentations and attending forums and committees, delivering high-quality materials, taking minutes and distributing and coordinating the actions agreed. Engage and interact regularly with business teams to understand issues and requirements. Then work with senior colleagues in Financial Crime Operations team to engineer effective solutions. Support updating process documents to ensure controls are fit for purpose and aligned with regulatory standards. Collaborate with other Business Areas in promoting Financial Crime function socialising onboarding processes. Support the Sanctions workstream within the Public Markets, contributing to the implementation of enhanced controls. Help test the new system and ensure that it works according to the specification

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • You are people's person, who is great at building working relationships

  • Confident and effective communicator (both written and verbal)
  • Passionate about being in a work environment that embraces and values diversity.
  • Attention to detail to support highquality compilation of user documentation.
  • Enjoys problem solving, coming up with new ideas.
  • Ability to learn MS Office skills, particularly MS Excel and Visio.
  • Good organisational and prioritisation skills with a keen attention to detail

Qualification Required:

  • A minimum of five GCSEs grade 4 on the new grading system.

Future Prospects:

  • Upon completion of the apprenticeship, there may be opportunities for career progression within our Asset Management, First Line Financial Crime team or other relevant departments based on performance, business needs, and available opportunities. If recruited into a permanent role, the individual will follow the career progression applicable to the specific role/department.
  • Training Provided:
  • As a Financial Crime Apprentice with M&G, you will undertake the Level 3 Risk & Compliance Apprenticeship. The apprenticeship will be delivered through a blend of live online learning, prerecorded lectures, and face to face inductions and masterclasses
