The Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) is the world's only professional body dedicated to the entire aerospace community.Established in 1866 to further the art, science and engineering of aeronautics, the Society has been at the forefront of developments in aerospace ever since.
We are currently looking to recruit a Community Engagement Officer for maternity leave cover months) to build and enhance RAeS relationships with key communities and volunteers, including the RAeS Specialist Groups, Branches and Young Persons Network.Key Responsibilities
- Act as champion and first point of contact for RAeS Branch, Specialist Group, and Young Person activities
- Create and develop digital content for the website, social media, targeted campaigns, and newsletters (using dotDigital)
- Update and maintain relevant pages of the RAeS website including writing new copy, creating news items and adding events to the calendar.
- Creating virtual lecture/webinars via MS Teams and editing recordings using Adobe Premier Pro and uploading to the RAeS YouTube channel
- Recognise and reward achievement through the management of the RAeS medals and awards portfolio
- Update and maintain data management systems including CRM
Experience/Competencies required
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification
- Ability to prioritise workload, multitask and complete tasks to deadlines and to a specified standard
- Ability to work well independently and to contribute as part of a team, with a supportive and positive attitude
- Excellent written and verbal English language and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail, even under pressure
- Microsoft Office and CRM databases
Desirable
- Knowledge of the aerospace, defence, aviation and space industries
- Understanding of Microsoft Dynamics CRM
- Knowledge and experience of DotDigital
