Assistant Accountant - £23-28k plus studyBased/Location Elsham, Brigg
Main Purpose of the job:
To support the Financial Controller, Finance team, and wider organisation, in this fast-paced FMCG environment, to deliver effective and efficient transaction processing, ensuring timely receipts and payments, supported by excellent information and communication
Main Responsibilities:
- Take overall ownership of all Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger activities, managing invoice processing and payments, delivering agreed KPI's and supporting colleagues where tasks delegated
- Maintaining regular contact with customers and suppliers, dealing with issues effectively
- Credit control
- Overseeing the Green Coffee invoice process, including control and monthly stock analysis for Green Coffee
- Supported by the Financial Controller, oversee balance sheet controls and management for designated accounts
- Providing support to Financial Controller and Finance Director in all duties to ensure the company maintains financial records in a correct manner, and reports useful information to aid business performance and decision making

Person:
- Have strong attention to detail and a right first time approach

Essential skills and knowledge:
- Experience of Sales and Purchase ledger, including credit control
- A good communicator, able to work well with a variety of people and get things done
- Experience of working within a SME Finance team, ideally in a manufacturing environment desirable
- Broader experience of working across customer and supplier support roles will be considered
- Excellent Excel capability, other MS capabilities advantageous
