Job Description:


Make your mark as Procurement Specialist at Boskalis Subsea Services located in Aberdeen Working as a part of the procurement team, you will work closely with the Fleet Management Team to support the procurement requirements of the company's expanding fleet of vessels.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team of Procurement Specialists and to participate in the forward strategy of vessel procurement within Boskalis Subsea Services.


As a Procurement Specialist you will understand the importance of strategic sourcing and supporting Internal Stakeholders in the effective and strategic procurement of goods and services.

In this role you will source technically compliant and cost-effective solutions for our business, whilst ensuring that procurement processes are adhered to and compliant with business requirements.

You will create Purchase Orders and collaborate closely with our Suppliers to ensure goods and services are delivered on time.


Your responsibilities as Procurement Specialist:


  • Timely sourcing of goods and services to meet Company requirements.
  • Ensure that all Purchase Orders (PO's) are raised accurately and that all required information has been input into the Company Procurement/ERP System.
  • Ensure that the appropriate PO approval process has been followed for the goods and services to be purchased.
  • Monitor the timely delivery and expediting of ordered materials, equipment and services to their designated location, updating Internal Stakeholders accordingly of any changes/updates to the anticipated delivery date.
  • Contribute to, monitor and report efficiencies (cost, lead time, quality) identified as a result of consolidated purchasing and planning of requirements.

Your qualities:

You can move ahead as a Procurement Specialist if you have:

  • At least 3-5 years relevant work experience in a subsea/oil and gas procurement environment.
  • A relevant degree preferred, but not essential
  • Indepth knowledge of procurement and logístical processes and an understanding of Subsea Project/Vessel Procurement
  • Strong relationship builder
  • Attention to detail
  • A good command of written and spoken English

Extra information

  • Your team: Team of 7 Procurement Professionals. Part of the wider Contracts and Procurement Team
  • 11 people. Reporting to Procurement Lead. Team split between Vessel and Project Procurement.
  • Where you will work: For officebased roles, in consultation with your manager and your team, you work partly at home and partly in the office. The Procurement Team work in the office in Aberdeen on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, working from Home on Wednesday and Friday.
  • Full/parttime job: The position of function is a fulltime (35 hours a week) job. Core Hours 9.30pm2.30pm each day.
