HR0128710The University of Bradford are pleased to be able to offer a role within its Health and Safety team, This position will require an individual who is passionate about health and safety.

The successful Health and Safety Advisor will have:

Proven experience in a similar role ideally from within an educational establishment but not essential
Hold as a minimum a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (Level 6 NVQ)
Excellent communications skills with the ability to tailor a message and communicate succinctly to a range of stakeholders
Drive and enthusiasm with the willingness to learn, develop and grow in the role

Reporting in to the Deputy Head of Health & Safety, some of your key duties will include:

Regularly carry out Campus inspections and audits to ensure policies and procedures and being adhered to
Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation
Provide advice and support to colleagues across faculties and directorates
Review and advise on risk assessments
Produce reports and bulletins where relevant
Keep up to date with all new legislation
Assist in the development and delivery of the University's health and safety training programme

This role is Campus based.

The role is a permanent contract with a 36.25 hour working week, the salary is attractive with many additional benefits.
