Are you a highly motivated individual who thrives on delivering exceptional services?


We're seeking a professional and customer-focused Damp and Mould Surveyor, to join the team of a highly regarded housing association provider that is going through an exciting period of growth and transformation.

You will be responsible for delivering their damp and mould objections, with a zero tolerance approach.

Hybrid options available, with some homeworking as well as on-site travel within your designated area.


What the job involves
Carry out inspections for repairs, prepare specification of works, and ensure work is completed to a good standard on time

Provide technical building surveying advice regarding complex ongoing repairs issues (for example structural, damp, insurance claims or drainage issues) and assist in developing ongoing damp and mould strategy for improvement

To provide advice to customers on how to reduce condensation is professional and supportive manner

Provide regular and professional communication and liaison with customers and key stakeholders in relation to works instructed and managed by the service

To support the disrepair manager in delivering the objectives in their mould action plan and identify areas for service improvement

To work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure customers are provided support and assistance as required


Essential Requirements

  • Minimum Level 4 surveying qualification, e.g. HNC/HND
  • Membership of a relevant professional body is desirable e.g. RICS, CIOB etc.
  • Extensive experience of building surveying and specific experience of building maintenance, preferably within a social housing context
  • Successful record of managing an extensive, complex and varying caseload, with projects from inception to completion
  • Demonstrable experience and skills managing customer relationships to ensure a high level of customer care and satisfaction
