Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Stoke on Trent.

The purpose of the
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role is to:

Assist in the day-to-day maintenance of production machinery, attend breakdowns, log all work completed on the CMMS system, and carry out planned and preventative maintenance tasks either alone or as part of a team.


Principal accountabilities of this role include:

  • To carry out work in a safe manner, following correct procedure
  • To ensure all breakdowns are kept to a minimum
  • To ensure all planned work is completed with mínimal disruption to production
  • To log all work carried out on frontline CMMS
  • To report any potential problems to the Maintenance Manager.


To be successful in this role you must have previous experience of mechanical factory maintenance including fault finding and repair, installations, and planned maintenance on a range of machinery.


Please note:
In this role you will be working rotating days and noons (6am-2pm/2pm-10pm), Monday to Friday. A call out rota also applies with a generous shift allowance and call out rate.

Experience Required

  • NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Qualification or above
  • Previous experience of factory maintenance including fault finding and repair, installations and planned maintenance on a range of machinery
  • Knowledge of single and 3 phase electrical supply, hydraulics and pneumatics
