Warmsworth Primary School has an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join the team and make a difference for children, including those with additional needs.


The Governors of Warmsworth Primary School wish to appoint a teaching assistant to teach and support across the primary phase, initially to help provide support for children with additional needs in Reception (Foundation Stage Two) from September 2023.

This post will also include supporting children through the lunchtime period in a midday supervisor role.

Warmsworth is a large mainstream primary school, providing education for children aged between 3 and 11 years old.

  • Be an enthusiastic and motivated individual

  • Be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Be a team player with high standards of themselves and others
  • Have experience, or an interest and understanding, of supporting primary aged children and Special Educational Needs and Disability
  • Be able to lead learning in groups of children
  • Have good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE (or equivalent) English and Mathematics to Grade C/Grade 4 or above.)
